🌟 ON A MISSION TO TRANSFORM PALLIATIVE HEALTHCARE 🌟We are thrilled to share a remarkable article from "Horizon" magazine, an EU Research & Innovation publication, shining a spotlight on our very own mission - the MyPal H2020 project! 📰 Our dedicated team of Greek researchers from Thessaloniki, Greece, has embarked on this pioneering initiative with the invaluable support of EU funding and collaboration from 16 healthcare partners across Europe. Our mission goes beyond boundaries; it aims to redefine the meaning of palliative care for those affected by cancer by leveraging cutting-edge technology to improve the doctor-patient relationship and enhance the overall quality of life for cancer patients.Through the innovative MyPal app, over 200 adult and adolescent cancer patients in five EU countries had the opportunity to participate in clinical trials. This digital tool empowers patients to communicate remotely with their doctors, educate themselves about their illnesses, report real-time health updates, and fill in questionnaires. As a result, doctors gain a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of a patient's health status, leading to more personalized and targeted care. The impact of our MyPal project has been nothing short of profound. Testimonies from key team members, including Pantelis Natsiavas (Technical Coordinator), Panos Bonotis (Technical team), Christina Karamanidou (clinical liaison), Kostas Stamatopoulos (Project leader) were nothing short of eye-opening. Also, Thomas Chatzikonstantinou, who witnessed the benefits firsthand at Thessaloniki, Greece, praise the project for improving communication and enabling physicians to detect potential issues with patients before face-to-face consultations. learn more here 👉 ec.europa.eu/research-and-innovation/en/horizon-magazine/mission-transform-palliative-healthcare We are honored that the MyPal system serves as a vital repository of medical information, playing a crucial role in identifying vital patterns and providing immediate healthcare solutions, especially for patients residing in remote areas. This pioneering research is not only enhancing palliative care but also contributing to the broader mission of discovering new ways to protect our planet and society. At the heart of our project lies collaboration, which is the driving force behind European research and innovation. By pooling resources and expertise from around the world, we address challenges that are too immense for a single country to tackle alone. As we continue our journey to revolutionize palliative healthcare, we wholeheartedly invite you to join us and make a real impact on the lives of cancer patients. Your support is invaluable! Share, like, and follow the stories of #ResearchImpactEU to stay updated on the progress of our mission and the incredible work of researchers dedicated to protecting our planet and society.Together, we can create a healthier, more compassionate, and caring world. 🌍💙#mypal #palliativecare #ResearchImpactEU #HorizonEurope #EUproject #Innovation #cancerresearch #healthcareinnovation #MissionPossible #healthcaretransformation #europeanresearc #innovationforlife ...
